Developing new varieties

At Rijk Zwaan, we develop varieties with improved benefits, or ‘traits’, for the entire fresh produce chain. We do so by continuously developing new crossings and selecting the best offspring from them. High-tech research ensures that we work in an increasingly targeted and efficient manner.

Vegetable seeds are a natural product. They must be produced under the ideal conditions and undergo extensive quality checks. We work in accordance with strict standards and careful plans to ensure that we can supply the required seeds on time.
